Find below the following video clips for you to watch in order to get a perspective to the case and issues raised.

Sarah Mbuyi, a Christian nursery worker was dismissed from her job for gross misconduct after purporting that marriage condoned by God according to the Bible was between one man and one woman. Miss Mbuyi has subsequently won the case in the employment tribunal that Christian groups have hailed as historic considering the negative rulings to similar cases in recent years.

Impact of the Working Time Directive

Following the European Parliament and the Council's failure to reach agreement in April 2009 and subsequently the European Social Partners two-stage consultations in accordance with Article 155 of the TFEU Treaty ended in a stalemate in December 2012, I welcome the effort of the Commission through this public consultation to review the current Working Time Directive (WTD2003/88/EC).

The UK Supreme Court dismissed an appeal from Peter and Hazelmary Bull, a Christian couple who operated a Bed & Breakfast Hotel policy that only allowed heterosexual married couples to share a double bed. A gay couple, Martyn Hall and Stephen Preddy challenged the practice and successfully sued them. The Court ordered the Bulls to pay £3,600 in damages for injured feelings.

A RESPONSE TO THE FORMER POPE BENEDICT XVI's CALL FOR SUNDAY THE LORD'S DAY TO BE A DAY OF REST FOR THE FAMILY

I agree with the former Pope Benedict XVI's call for the family to have a day of rest and an opportunity to strengthen family ties.  Albeit I have my reservations and doubts with it being associated with 'The Lord's Day', and that day officially being Sunday.

The European Commission of Human Rights' Jurisprudence And Decision in Konttinen Case

Following the European Court of Human Rights' Judgement in the case of Eweida and Others v the United Kingdom1, I feel it is time for the Court to seriously consider on a case by case basis, the provision of reasonable accommodation in the work place, especially when conflicts arise between scheduling and religious observance of the Sabbath. This pertains to the European Commission of Human Rights' ruling, following its alleged legal reasoning in 1996, in the Konttinen v Finland case.
