A CALL FOR A DAY OF ACTION ! 4 March 2012: European Day for a Work free Sunday!


The European Sunday Alliance has designated 4th March 2012 as a day of action for all its members and supporters to observe it as a European work-free Sunday. Follow the progress of such an initiative and please feel free to comment.

Whilst I admire your groups' stance in demonstrating for a day that protects family time etcetera, why should that day be Sunday? What about the rights of other people who chose to worship/attend Church on different days? Christianity is very important to many people and how we choose to live our lives. However, within Christianity many churches have gone away from the Biblical Sabbath as written in Genesis 2:1-3 and Exodus 20: 8-11. What we have instead is many people choosing to follow a mandate from the Roman Catholic church to worship on Sunday instead in honour of Jesus' resurrection. I have never found any evidence that Jesus asked us to worship Him on Sunday in the Bible. I am willing though to look at any Biblical evidence that supports Sunday worship.
