The 1st reading of the Bill was the introduction to the House of Lords at 3.13pm on 27th June 2017 by Baroness Morris of Yardley on behalf of Lord Soley, as Private Member's Bill sponsor. The 1st reading of the Bill includes Hansard and Minutes of Proceedings. The Government has initiated the Bill through s436(A) of the Education Act 1996 as its legal basis.
Follow its timetable, debates and amendments here as the Bill makes its passage in the Westminster Parliament for any update and analysis. Note that the date of the 2nd reading is yet to be announced.
