From September 2020, the Health Education and Relationships Education (primary) and the secondary Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) (secondary) aspects of PSHE education will be compulsory in all schools. We support colleagues around the country with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to be confident in meeting these new requirements head-on. This is an exciting time for PSHE education and we’re committed to highlighting and championing the best practice of teachers who are using the new guidance to raise the profile of the subject in their schools.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government has announced measures which aim to protect individuals’ right to life (Article 2 ECHR) and further steps will need to be taken over the coming days, weeks and months.
